Stage 9 saw another previous winner of this Tour, this time it was pure climber ‘the cobra’ Ricardo Ricco who put in another tremendous effort to leave the other climbers in his wake. Cadel Evans had a scary crash which almost ended his Tour but was able to keep his composure and gritted his way to the finish not losing anytime to the GC favorites; pure guts, pure power, pure Cadel!
