Can you guess what I’ve been doing in my cube, eh, besides working…of course? Watching the Amgen Tour of California on the flippin sweet Adobe Tour Tracker, and if you’re not?!…YOU SHOULD BE! The Amgen Tour of California is in its third successful year as a full fledged UCI Tour, starting out in the city of Palo Alto and finishing in Pasadena (which I’ll be attending; I’ll be the one screaming and crying like a little girl). The progression and popularity gain of this Tour is amazing, its slowly becoming one of thee premiere cycling events already attracting the sport’s stars from all over the world, even more impressive, as geeky as it sounds, is the Adobe Tour Tracker that allows you to follow every aspect of the event right from your computer. Rider profiles, current time standings, live video feeds, current peloton speed, jersey holders, road grade, you name it, this site has got it. The plethora of information available on the site is probably overkill for your average viewer but in my opinion, not only does this site show the inner beauty of cycling that is within its strategy, it is also a precedent in the world wide web, as it represents the endless possibilities of a content driven flash site that is tastefully executed. A forewarning, you’re gonna need some good bandwidth to get this site running somewhat smoothly and the latest version of the Flash player installed on your browser, its time our cable/dsl lines caught up to the evolution of the web!

*afterthought: the Tour de France should implement the A.T.T, I’m a genius, someone should elect me head of the ASO.
